Parents - Poem by Brandi Vail
Arguing, yelling, and telling you what to do.
Grounding, punishing, and always making new rules.
Ugh, parents, what un-cool people.
If they ARE even people.
Maybe they are just drones,
Sent to ruin our lives.
Maybe they are aliens,
From outside space.
Sent here with a mission,
To wipe out the teenage race.
But then every once in a while,
You’ll come across those parents that ACTUALLY care.
The parents that are always there.
I guess when it comes down to it,
All parents have their child’s best in mind.
But I still think that maybe, just maybe, they aren’t as human as they appear.
