Peace underground
Tuesday,3rd April 2019
We are proud of the beautiful body
that has belonged to nobody
you have little pride in physical beauty
that too shall lie buried underneath
we grew mustaches
and tried to reach
the level of racism
forgetting altogether the role of humanism
you turned arrogant
and kept greed present
in each counter of dealing
and forced it with a cunning smile
but nothing was to accompany
not even your dearest company
they were to be left behind
with simple goodbye at an end
you lived with noise around
but lastly found
the dead peace
under the burial place to live at an ease

The transient nature of human life and our ignorance and body consciousness has been brought out very well. Enjoyed the read Thanks for sharing Pushpa Subramanian, Kolkata, Apr 04,2019
