Peaceful Conscience Poem by Elena Sandu

Peaceful Conscience

One bite of bread
If fairly shared
Given with love and care
Shall saturate whole brain.

The tiny space fairly shared
Land, chair, or bed
Offered with love and care
Shall give the soul its rest.

This be true if bread whole grain But crumbs in bed rough disdain And peaceful sleep in chair or bed The mind switched off And rested soul For BLT and coffee hot The morning brings what years may not. :)
