Perfect Escape - Poem by Amanda harding

Darkness fills my head
Creeping slowly down my veins
Polluting me heart
The world seems empty
The sun no longer shines
Footsteps of death
Ringing in my ears
Calling my name
Giving in seems the perfect escape
No more pain
No more regrets
No more secrets
No more lies
Pain floods my mind
A reminder of the past
The bruises may fade
The scars may heal
The damage already done
Words already spoken
Pain forever there
