Phantom Deer.... [very Short; True; Vision; Personal] Poem by Bri Edwards

Phantom Deer.... [very Short; True; Vision; Personal]

Rating: 2.5

When the Sun's out, deer sometimes graze in our backyard.
It's very easy to view them then; it very simply isn't 'hard'.
But 'tween dusk and 'dark', to see 'em you have to carefully peer,
and as it gets darker still, those browsers become 'phantom deer'.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i was on our deck one recent evening as it was getting dark.
i noticed (barely) two deer moving and standing in our backyard near an apple tree. they both moved farther away so i could not see them, but as it got even darker, i suddenly noticed what i thought was the larger one running back across the yard, followed by the second (deer) . it was weird because one moment my vision could pick them out of the gloom and then i wasn't so sure if i was seeing them or not. phantoms! ! ! !

same thing happens with wombats and volcanoes, Bri. Funny how the title came up right at the top and then ads and one that looks like the title just above your poem 'Asian Women Dating'

Simple but cute....! 'Phantom deer' all around! They must have been frightened at the sight of a 'phantom man' on the deck!
