Police Morgue Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Police Morgue

I'm excited at dawn
even if I make my journey
through cold rain.

I have to face
any perils of the day
and discover impenetrable resilience.

If you learn to smile
when kicked in the teeth,
it's hard to imagine defeat.

Let's meet in the city
by a children's park or a police morgue
and be just as happy to know each other.
