Possible Futures Poem by Daniel Brick

Possible Futures

Rating: 4.8

How much does it matter
that I can square the circle
before the sun sets today?
How much does it matter
that three men we hired
forced the boy to bend
a willow tree, until
its top leaves kissed
the earth, the sacred earth?
How much does it mean
that we danced on the Moon
with no help fromgravity?
How much does it mean
that the novel I saw
whole and complete in a vision
is mine to write? Will the Great Wheel
lurch forward into its iron future?
Or will we simply fall into deep sleep
and dream of a society of sincere hearts?

Beautiful words Daniel. No sleeping time yet for you. Today is the day to begin that dream book with gentle classical music in the back ground. May a " society with sincere hearts" begin throughout the world"

" How much does it mean...that the novel I saw........How much does it matter....that I can square the circle..." This is very amazing that you have seen the moon's dance and our dance in moon through your far and complete vision. Great time wheel is running here. Lots of changes come in society. Future perspectives are lurched through vision. We sleep and dream and feel reality.

What matters is what continously stuns you. For example, when I listen to Wagner's music dramas I always want to hear them again and miss them right at the moment I listen to them, so they lift you up to the etrenity, with a better society of sincere and better hearts. Of course we need simple sense of hearing for that and it matters too!

This poem is very pleasing and sweet. Interest of a reader grows gradually when a poem is presented in nice flow of interaction. How much does it matter we may not able to say but it matters as natural laws perfectly work and moon perfectly gives us calmness and beauty and sun reflects its power in universe. This poem is fabulous! ...5 stars..!
