Post Love Poem by Nosheen Irfan

You live many roads away
Many blanks away
Many pauses away
You live on the outskirts of my life.

Between us, Lahore expanded
Stretched out till hands released hands
And soles forgot the touch of gravel
And love was always waiting for a knock.

I live though I have stopped calculating
How much distance divides us
Now the tracks have multiplied
and I have forgotten Mathematics.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Time makes friendship and it's closeness weaken and wither. And the distance between souls are now unfathomable. And now "You live on the outskirts of my life. " Wonderful poem. Truly Nostalgic and Nosheenic.

I have stopped calculating....... I have forgotten Mathematics! A wonderful poem on a very intricate issue. Well penned!

If there's that much yawning emptiness between two people now, there must have been a thunderstorm.

2) ‘You live….many blanks away', ..grips one's heart. I missed a heartbeat or two. I almost read "I live though I have stopped living…" great poetry, Nosheen. Keep it up. Do write more often
