Prasadam is specifically prepared for God
Food that is first offered
To God is considered sacred
Prasadam means the Mercy of the Lord.
Prasadam is karma – free food
Since it is sanctified by God
It is offered to satisfy our Lord
Remembering that He supplies all good.
When we prepare and offer food
Specifically for our Lord God
Partaking of the food by the God
Happens and leaves the remnant food.
On preparing and eating
Prasadam, we thank Him for every thing
He has done for us—with praying
That we will ever remember Him singing.
Prasadam is in nature auspicious
Hence is distributed to devotees
The sanctified food agrees
And the partaking people it pleases.
Beautiful way Prasadam is presented....Loved reading it..Gives a feeling as if am in temple...Loved reading it.
The importance of Prasadam is nicely described in the poem. Eating prasadam is sharing food with Him. Thank you.
Devotion and surrender to god, offerings to god and accepting prasadam the remnants food from temples is an Indian way of life and it is created into a nice poem. The best of things we acquire is supposed to be offered to god for which the divine blessings are showered on us and helps to continue the journey of life till the wishes of destiny I think. Good writing.
a very different poem about a unique topic...anything esp. the food that is on God's name becomes holy and is taken as a blessing! ! !
Prasadam later eaten by the devotees themselves perhaps tells about how 'God`s wish' begins to take wings and once He appears as food before the hungry millions His wishes get fulfilled for ever and the humanity is blessed for ever!
Prasadam, I believe is an external manifestation of sharing in God's bounty! Naturally when we partake of it, we experience fullness! An enlightening write! !
a gud write Mam emphasising the importance and sanctity of Prasadam
