Promise Held Poem by Fiona Davidson

Promise Held

Morpheus arms cradle you
Hold your restlessness at bay
Angels gather beside us now
Smiling they lullaby your soul

The only sound is your heart
As it slowly begins to rest
Your peace a beautiful sight
That soothes me as I sit here

The candles flicker softly
Casting shadows on the walls
They beckon you to join them
As their dance hypnotizes

Your hand is in mine
My promise is held tight

Peacefulness is paramount now...for holding hands is to soothe the journey onwards in your grasp...to gentle release when the time comes...A loving poem Fi...well written from your heart.. Sue x
