Release Poem by Fiona Davidson

Release

Fresh paint, touch of gloss shining
New look, well the cushions anyway
Splash of colour, your style defining
Yellow shot through with green bay

Sunlight sparkles through the window
Dappling the walls like water flowing
Breeze makes the muslin curtains billow
Can't stand here all day, must get going

Closing the door behind me, I leave
Life passes you by if you remain static
I welcome the new, I must believe
Or maybe just retire to the attic

Face turned up to the sun-light, smiling
I walk away down the road, no more crying

Sunlight sparkles through windows and face turned up to the sunlight in smiling released pain and no more crying. Beautifully penned and expressed emotion. Lovely poem.
