Ptsd Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Rating: 4.0

Still, I feel I am in high school
As I slowly walk in my bedroom
Where I thought I would be safe
From nightmarish daydreams that continue
I can feel the hairs on my arms spring up
With fear as I am followed by the phantom
Of the school pusher
How he terrorised me for pleasure
Sometimes, I talk to myself thinking
I am explaining to the teacher my plight
But the teacher said I should give them a chance
I wish I had gone through with the suicide
Because it would be better than this

I find it difficult reading poems like this as I've never experienced this, I have had suicidal thoughts however, I am glad you are able to express these thoughts here.
