Rain Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The skylight turns black
As the icy winds pick up
The thunder rolls its anger
Quaking with lightening,
The clouds let go of the rain
And the darkness is upheld
While it disguises my tears
No one will know you are not here
But the angels that feel the strike
Of loneliness you have created

The black clouds of the skies are nothing like those that form around a broken heart. Lovely descriptive passages, convey the melancholy well. The last two lines are crushing in pain. Thank you for sharing.

May the rain take on new meaning as grace and love storms upon you. Rain storms are much better than drought!

When relationships end dark clouds form. But one day the sun will shine through again.
