Public Sentiments Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Public Sentiments

Heightened beyond,
A few expressing...
A disgusting embarrassment.
No longer needing to discuss,
The obvious allowed...
To heat up and overflow.
Showing those ungrateful.
Destroying their own,
Way of life.
Because they dislike,
The image diversifying it.

And filmed to capture...
Permanently on video.
A mad mob crazed.
As if rabid dogs uncaged.
Directed where, when...
And how,
To unleash their manic rage.

With it done to do,
By 'their' leader.
One skilled in frauding.
Hoodwinking to bamboozle.
Ooozing...
From head to toe deception.
And yet...
Gone ignored,
Are the public sentiments...
From rooftops shouted,
'You Folks Have Lost...
Minds.
You Will Never Find Again! '

And they had once,
To have been the ones...
Protesting against,
Their entitlements to have...
Were being threatened,
By others declaring...
Racists are convinced,
Those of ethnic colors...
Are destroying,
'Their' quality of life.
And lawlessly ruining,
'Their' democracy!

'Where do such nuts,
Go to find then pick to select...
Their squirrels? ! '
