Pursuing The Purpose Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Pursuing The Purpose

It’s the season when jew’ls are found in a hero’s rest,
When truest honor is cradled, guarded with life’s whole.
For above all rewards we knew, breathes a grander best
That should be sought for the innermost part of the soul.

The tales of love, the stories behind each legacy,
From the first cry of life to the adventures after.
Man must understand and not create his destiny,
For its perfection can radiate beyond forever.

Rain and shine balanced, given to tender fields of gold;
The same applies when the times are dyed of crimson wars.
Though all the mysteries of the past have not yet been told,
But above all truths and myths, let’s open brand new doors.

To usher this generation to its rightful place,
That can venture the seas, discover something worthwhile.
All that we hoped for and done is just the basic phase
Until our labors produce a world without a guile.

Open the skies so that we may have a better view,
For it is beyond this universe we must pursue.
