You lost your loved ones in the sand and rubble,
and you struggle to accept it,
the pain almost unbearable.
I won't lie and say i understand,
but I will be there with you holding your hand.
We will pray together,
we will fight this together,
I will do whatever I can to make it a little better.
When you can't seem to sleep at night,
I'll be there giving you hope,
holding your hand tight.
Hold on, we shall make it through,
be strong, I'm right here with you.
I'll do whatever it takes
to bring the lost smile back on your face,
don't give up, things will fall into place.
We won't give up,
we shall get back on our feet.
I'll be there with you
every second, every minute.
We shall take it one day at a time
the pain will be gone
and soon shall the sun shine.
-Dedicated to all the people of Haiti
Heart felt feelings for the victims. Prayer to GOD will do the most.
nice one you have here.. much heart.. to me that's what differentiates art from others.. keep it up.. :)
a very meaningful poem... touches the heart, i love it.. our prayers and thaughts are with them
A fine poem of hope and assurance. An ordinary gal becomes an extraordinary poetess. Really tragic and heart touching.Ur fellow feeling as a poet is commendable. U know how to extend personal love to people of a distressed land. Ur use of imagery and rhythm is superb dear. The very title shows ur attitude to the distressed people. A poet's silent sympathy is always an important ingredient for a good poem. Bravo! u have the courage to stand by the side of the distressed people. In 'Africa' Tagore stood by the side of the distressed people....Carry on Tanvi...we are with you
Such a beautiful poem, well pondered. thank you for that honest point of view 10\! ! !
awesome poem, very soothing and honest. 'I won't lie and say i understand, but I will be there with you holding your hand.' wonderful friend, this line is very sincere and mature. i just loved the poem. thank you so much.
A heartfelt sense of wishing to do more comes through which I share. Thank you for including me.
Heart felt feelings for the victims. A hope-driven write, igniting the spirit of courage within us all...
'we shall get back on our feet'. This is a positive thought meaning don't just die, get back on your feet and fight back. I have also countrymen who perished in the tragedy - four UN Peace Keepers and two overseas workers who worked in a supermarket. I'm sure they were good men and women. I considered them as heroes. I prayed for their souls together with the poor and impoverish Haitians earthquake victims. Prayers are all that I can afford. This is a lovely dedication to all Haitian people. Thanks for sharing.
