Rambling Man Poem by Practicing Poetess

Rambling Man

Rating: 5.0

Why did I go and fall in love
With a rolling stone of a man?
Who seems to have a travel bug
I wish I could understand.

Now, don't get me wrong- - I love travel, too
But I come back to hearth and home
After time on the road, I choose my abode,
Not content to constantly roam.

You say it's 'See you later'
And that it's not Good-bye,
But my heart can't tell the difference
So once again, I start to cry.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The time together flies so fast. The time apart just crawls. That lovable rascal has now been the inspiration for 8 poems!
My current love interest is giving me some great poetry material- - as well as the time to write it, once he's on the road again.

He is certainly inspiring you. Enjoy the time you have together, and write poems when you are apart. That's my advice. Judy
