Like the pooling of the tides
Brutal waters advance and retreat
Surge of despair pulling you out
Out into murky abyss of pain
To be slammed once more onto the rocks
Jagged and sharp as words of goodbye
Sliced with the razor edge of infidelity
Battered and bruised a dying essence
Rattle of ones last breath escape blue lips
Life slipping through weak fingers
Eyes clouded, melted by words of anger
Images of what once was dance in shadows
Upon the sandy shores of the spirits ocean
Wearing gaily painted masks of unfaithfulness
