Realistically Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Realistically

Realistically
I've thought of you a countless number of times
Wondering about your interests, the things that bring a smile to your face.
I've thought of you so much that I've become infatuated.
Curious about your day. The thoughts that have went through your mind.
Even if the thought of me ever crossed your mind.
I've sat back. Daydreaming about the day you'd reach for your phone
and it would be my number you dialed.
The ecstatic way I'd say hello as we dove deep into a conversation about the things
we've done.
I catch myself smiling at the thought of that alone.
The sound of your voice.
If it sounds the same over the phone than in person.
The immature childlike things we'd do for fun.
A string theory that boggles the mind.
Gaining the center of your attention.
If we share the same common denominator or would one of us gain new
interests by just sharing the same air.
Mere thoughts that breathe just as you and I.
In mid thought I become discouraged.
Shy, afraid of bringing the thought into reality.
If at all possible.
As realistically your the type of girl who doesn't give my type
a second glance
