Resounding Echoes Of Yesterday Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Resounding Echoes Of Yesterday

Resounding echoes of yesterday fall into memories of what
we used to do when much younger and with family, many
moments together.

Creating moments of laughter, fun, at times and then
sorrow and grief, but through it all we stayed united,
being there for one another no matter what happened.

Wishing at times that we could relive those wonderful,
heartfelt memories again today, but alas, we cannot do
anything except wish for those things.

Seeing them again only in memories yellowed with age,
or days of loneliness, these once happy times now
spent in sorrowful moments of aging.
