He was expelled from his home and his church
In Moments in that darkness night
Looted his house and stole his money
Burned his home and his church
Robbed and desecrated his dignity
After two years and odd
Those who did not care for all these
Ask him to return
To live in ruin and destruction
So simply just like that
Without any compensation
Or the restoration and repair of each
What was destroyed and vandalized and burned
And without any guarantees of security
So that this tragedy will not repeat again
Uh oh.... What cheap you are to them

I agree with Kim Barney's comment.... thanks for posting....
A case of persecution and being ostracized by a community then being forgiven and asked to return..i get a feeling that this poem was about some of atrocities being committed against members of a different faith..the news is full of stories about religious conflict..good poem and congratulations on being selected poet of the day..
Such instances depict the growing insensitivity in a sizable section of society- particularly that of the affluent. Congrats on poem of the Day.
Sadness acquires mind reading this poem. To live in ruin and destruction provokes thought. Very amazingly drafted and shared poem this is that highlights a wonderful issue in life. Congratulations for being selected as the poem of the day....10
This poem arose anger in me. Is that a good thing? I really don't know. However it held my attention. Anyway Congratulation! ! !
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
A poet's note would have been nice, so that readers would know about whom you are speaking. Nevertheless, congratulations on having it selected as poem of the day!
