Rich? Poem by Gary Hembree

Rich?

Upon a frozen throne do I sit.
Once rich as rich could get.
Bought and bought until I could no longer breath.
'Please sir can you spear some money? '
Greedy as greed could get.
'Please sir, I need to eat.'
High class shoes, fancy cloths.
'Please sir can you spear some money? '
Parties, women all within my hands.
'Please sir, I need to eat.'
Once as rich as rich could get.
Here I sit, lights flashing red.
Upon my eyes do I see, a girl no older then seventeen.
If only if only I could have stopped in time.
Upon a gold chair would I still sit.
'Please sir, I need to eat.'
Here now I sit upon a frozen throne.
Rag shoes, torn cloths

upon a frozen thrown do I sit..a good start to beg for food..it is a common happening in Malaysia, when the new riches don't know how to handle the new found wealth...
