Ridiculous And Too Apparent Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Ridiculous And Too Apparent

The one thing I have heard,
From some folks who prefer and like....
Being thought to be stupid.
Is observing to watch,
Many who follow behind...
The ones they believe have a cure and remedy,
Are mentally equipped to solve and fix...
Every problem they've got.
And 'overnight' can rid.
With a pretending of a competence.
Swearing to have been born with it.

Although...
Lack any sign that defines intelligence.
And...
Done to make fools of themselves.
Using the best of creative excuses.
Excuses that are both tasteful and acceptable.
To then be heard accusing those thought stupid,
Of being unconcerned and too selfish.
To at least make suggestions.
Or attempt to be involved,
In correcting a direction...
They would never suggest or choose.
Even the ones thought stupid can see,
Had been ridiculous from the start.
And too apparent to keep their mouths closed!
