Santa - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Dear santa please listen while I make it clear
The reason I believe in you year after year
For the smiles on the faces of the people I see
As they hang decorations on their christmas tree
And the sounds of the children as they laugh and they play
With all the presents they unwrapped early on christmas day
Or the heavenly smells of the treats that mom cooks
From the old family recipes she finds in her books
Theres also the sounds of pop snoring along
While the kids try to sing a caroling song
And the music that seems to make us all aware
Of the peace of the season we all wish to share
For this is the time that you reign every year
Filled with happiness, peace, good tidings and cheer
For who could pull it all off except for yourself
Santa my hero, our most lovable elf.
'closing thought'
So santa to me will always be real
He exist in the season and the way it makes us all feel
