Scared Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Scared

Rating: 5.0

the light post stands alone
by the side of the tar coated road
shedding a pale yellow glow across
the half dead grasses at its concrete base

the moths move fast
around the hanging bulb of glass
filling the air with their whining
their dead bodies hang onto blades
of grasses like tiny beads of dry skin

silence pervades deep
into the lives as the devil
spreads its scary influence across
the remote corner of innocent world
and the light post standsas a mute
spectator to the long procession of dead

Outstanding poem on the subject, I liked the way you described the mute standing of a lamp-post/ Light Post standing and witnessing so many things quitely. Insightful poem with philosophical touch. Beyond ratings yet 100+++

A lamp post the silent spectator holding every thing. Beautiful conception. Thank-you sir.
