Screaming And Yelling Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Screaming And Yelling

Truth not to tell it.
Or it to not have known.
Has to be the most frightening dilemma.
To face and alone.

What to believe or not.
With a caring less about what is true.
Has got to be the most frightening dilemma.
For anyone to go through and to witness...
Friends, family members and co-workers too.
Having their delusions thought kept protected.
Come to a screeching halt.
Without a clue or suspecting,
How truth and the reality of it.
To have never known before.
Can not be blamed on anyone.
Or accuse someone to find at fault.
For not being told what truth is.
To give them time to prepare for its visit.

"What is going on with those people?
Screaming and yelling like that!
As if they have lost their minds."

-It's sorta...kinda complicated.-

"Complicated? "

-Yeah.
It's about truth.-

"Truth?
You mean like...
True truth? "

-Yeah.
They've never experienced it before.
They claim what's going on,
Is a government conspiracy.-

"The...
Virus?
Or the effect of the pandemic? "

-Both.
They believe it's the government's way,
To prevent them from shopping.
And spreading lies to tell on each other.-

"Comeon!
Stop joking."

-I kid you not.
Go ask the organizer.
The one over there selling souvenirs.-

"SOUVENIRS? "

-Souvenirs? -

"Sou-ven-irs? "

-Yep! Bought one myself.-
