Separated by transparency…

like mannequins in shop-windows,
nostalgically
we are glancing
at our inanimate love.
At the T-junction,
face-to-face—
two remnants of romance
mirroring each other's
mind and memories;
bewildered by the changes of time—
as always,
we could only admire our illusions:
never permitting palpability!

Separated by transparency…

through sun-lenses
concealing love's gazes,
through windscreens and mirrors,
through the music,
through the glass
in running boxes,
through serpentine roads,
through serpents
separating our hearts,

Separated by transparency…

fragments of emotions,
figments of heart
captured in a single glance
through Love's magnifying glass,
through eye-glasses,
car-windows and virtual-screens:
seconds of transparency.

Separated by transparency…

continuously
streaming
upon my mind-screen
visualised with the inner-eye:
the love-story of our lives—
protagonists with vigilant eyes
chasing each other's light:
