Sun Man
I lie angry in tall grasses
Consorting with your enemy
Red Ant tribe
With sweet bribe of honey
I lay sticky trail to your cave
You share with big breasts
And womb of fruit
Green eyes caste long guiltless shadows
While I watch
Soldiers march under skins
In Dreamtime
Burning rage is soothed by
Eye for eye
I run home
Proud and fearless in forest
I morph to wolf racing moon
Across Jurassic oasis
Fast paws whisper on smooth blue stone
Shaman spell
Tomorrow Sun Man submit to Wolf Woman
Power I born for
Fangs flash
Smile wide as river
The power of nature.... Animals live in societies, and if they had a language we could translate, they might be reciting these very words of yours, Simone, as they stand witness to the encroachment of humanity. This is an absolutely amazing poem.
A wonderful poem on dream time and revenge has been shared astutely. I love the following lines..... Tomorrow Sun Man will submit to Wolf Girl I born for this power Fangs flash Smile wide as river Thanks for sharing.
A technicolour dream, like a science fiction movie like 'Jurassic Park'. The poem enlarges the frontiers, I think, of your personal 'I' or ego. Brilliant writing.
If Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Poe united and produced a poem.... well, it still wouldn't be as good as this. You have a mystic other-world write going on here. Gives me shivers, but makes me think about our prehistoric feelings of revenge and bitterness being released on the world. This is high quality poetry that I have come to expect from your pen. 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Such fire and fury in this psychical write that brings out all the feelings hidden away. A very breathtaking write. Thanks Inez
Under the Shaman's spell, the bitterness has given way to forgiveness and fangs, instead of poison, flash smiles! A great transformation presented in capturing and allusive images (?) ! Great write from your steely pen Simone! Top marks!

I would like to translate this poem
This is kind of awesome Simone. I was drawn in to the mystery and beauty of your image and, of course, the lure of a shaman's spell. I imagine a woman scorned by a man who has been with another woman and scorned woman has gone to the shaman for revenge. I love the way this woman calls to nature to revel in her own power and independence...maybe the shaman is secondary to all of that... Loves this. Your language is beautiful.
