Shooting Pigeon Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Can any one think of shooting pigeon or sparrow?
With any of the edged weapon or pointed arrow?
Would you ever think of throwing stone at house of neighbor?
Do you think it worthwhile to make futile labor?

No one attempts at anything without any purpose
Why don’t you send red stones instead of roses?
Why do we dislike displeasure and raise the eye brow with nose?
Threats must be instantly eliminated before they are likely to pose

We can’t afford to be off the guard
Immediate steps to take position to ward it off
It is human nature not to remain even little sluggish
Humble approach to any of the work and not to talk rubbish

Are we creating environment so impossible to live?
Do we not aim higher for betterment and believe?
If answer is in yes then think of always good
No retaliation of any sort even if beaten with by wood

This may look strange and little funny
Greatness and nobility can’t be achieved with money
No honey bees may forgo to store drops of honey
Still it takes place and we don’t raise bogey

Why all great people laid down their lives?
Were they all fools not to live long and survive?
What forced then to prefer death for life?
They had their own kingdom and beautiful wife

We may not go too far but strive for the best
Life is not that worth to be offered for test
Not to sit idle and not to prefer for rest
Strong resolve at heart and all cards near to the chest

I am not worthy man to offer any of the solution
Peace efforts should not face any kind of dilution
Whole mankind may suffer and become extinct
If we don’t offer remedy by powerful act

What is good to inhale and what is to exhale?
Leave that thing aside with dedicated efforts to excel
We may sometimes not follow it properly
It has to be performed in a manner very orderly

Shooting pigeon is termed as unnecessary activity
Useless people perform it with pride as mere utility
It is also not considered as bravery act but cowardice
They may carry on doing it merely on wrong advice

Do the things which is worthwhile and useful
Try to act in a manner to prove it as if needful
This may help them to come out of it to certain extent
They will have no complain to report or lament
