Cloudy skies welcome the fall
In my dreams I visit abode of death.
A loving hand, a healing touch
Extends to wipe the sufferings.
The beloved departed souls
Bless us from a distance.
The ever present emotional connection
Blooms in various hues on Shraddha days.

Perhaps this word shraaddha (homage) came from shraddhaa (trust and faith) . Depending on how you read the word, I was not sure which one you mean, but the Notes made it clear. Yes, cloudy skies welcome the fall, as you said, This fortnight is part of the month of bhaadrapad, the monsoon is going but not yet gone totally. A lovely piece of poem.
Shraddha day is important for both the living ones and the dead ones. The beloved departed souls Bless us from a distance.A belief that connects us to the dead, . Thank you Savitaji.
your kindness has been for ever recorded sorry for the delay RM this is like HALLOWEEN in the West all worldly people remmeber all those came to rest on mom earth and then left all others bereft just to fllow spiritually for life's rest as speritualists are won't to say
Visiting abode of death in dream is a mystery but an interesting fact. Wiping in dream and extending sufferings we still like to communicate with departed souls. But happily we should do it, so that souls should get peace in heaven. This is amazing that cloudy sky falls in dream. A brilliant poem is well penned with emotion....10
