Sighting The Moon Of Eid-Ul-Fitr Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Sighting The Moon Of Eid-Ul-Fitr

In the darkening sky, a sliver of light,
A glimpse of hope, a beautiful sight.
The crescent moon, so thin and fair,
A sign of Eid, a time to share.

People gather, looking up high,
Hoping to see the moon in the sky.
Children jump, with joy in their heart,
Excitement building, from the very start.

The moon sighting, a tradition old,
A way to determine, the end of the hold.
Of Ramadan, a month of sacrifice,
And a time for spiritual guidance.

With the sighting of the moon, comes the joy,
The anticipation of Eid, a time to enjoy.
With family and friends, sharing a meal,
The spirit of giving, and happiness, we feel.

Sighting the moon, a time of unity,
A time to cherish, a time of purity.
As we celebrate Eid, with prayers and delight,
We thank the Almighty, for His grace and might.

And as the moon sets, and the night grows old,
We remember the blessings, that we've been told.
Of love, compassion, and forgiveness,
And the promise of eternal bliss.
