Silence - Poem by Varanasi Ramabrahmam

Silence is
Not merely
Refraining from speaking;

But also
Refraining from feeling,
Thinking, recollecting. aching, apprehending
Fearing, being anxious, imagining, doubting,
Functioning mentally;

And in short and essence
Silence is
Being always
Peaceful and Blissful

    Yahooo [Joy] silence is clamping the mind … shutting the doors of senses …halting psyche …but with inner Consciousness [ not consciousness] vigil and alert … [may] open the flood gate of Bliss galore
    Fine diction…

    'Refraining from feeling,
    Thinking, recollecting. aching, apprehending
    Fearing, being anxious, imagining, doubting,
    Functioning mentally; '...very true...also silence doesn't mean to mute the mind which is impossible...vow of silence guides us to focus our thinking on the Lord alone....likewise practising meditation too on some divine thing only in silence...nice theme...nice write....thank you
