Silence Of The Shadows Poem by David Harris

Silence Of The Shadows

Rating: 5.0

In the silence of the shadows
a heart lay in tatters,
torn apart by loves advances
of an unwanted kind.
Bruised and beaten by distant
forays of fear and fist.
The heart once warm and loving,
now in the silence of the shadows
is held by threads of fear,
waits for repair
in the morning light of day.

David the sad fact of having to write about such a subject you have overcome with much tender thought written into this piece - - there is every need to show compassion to victims of this kind of unwanted 'love' - - a strong but sensitve verse 10 from Fay.

A lyrical and tender-hearted description of a hideous crime. This is a very fine poem, David. Your title is excellent and the poem that follows makes its sad point with great eloquence. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Some will always believe love can be achieved by force, unfortunately. Sensitive writing about your theme.
