Sinking - Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar
Sinking.
Sinking in pathos.
Such sentiments...
Leave me lamenting,
In waiting.
Torment.
Torment in moments.
Undoing heartbreak...
With streams of daylight,
That teases.
I wish I could be free,
Of memories that linger.
On a tapestry
I once loved and surrendered...
To you,
As we both grew from first meeting!
Drinking.
To numb what we had then.
Thinking.
I must unweave from what was 'when'.
Just to 'sink' myself deeper in!
And praying to find 'me'...
Once again!
