Snapshots >>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Snapshots >>>

beads on their heads
ring of petals wrap
their wrist tightly
so as not to drop
when dancing hula
drum beats very loud
quick stomping legs
twirling canes of fire

kings of waterfalls,
and sea warriors come
line passage to throne
princess dance to tune
not spoken, coco shells
shaking to spell demons
rainbow came over bay
a good day for regatta
