So Far Poem by Kewayne Wadley

So Far

I walked up to the ocean in your eyes.
I watched the foam rinse the coast,
With every blink of your eye.
Calmly drifting away.
The sound of the ocean, so assuring.
Subsiding to the somber waves hiding in the shade away from the sun.
Small sonata's adhering to the bigger symphony behind those brown eyes.
The sun hums it's sonnet behind the clouds.
A sophisticated glare.
Peeking through, gleaming off the ripples of your eyes.
From here I can't tell where the ocean ends and the sky begins.
The horizon lowers it's soprano.
Bringing forth a new season.
At that moment.
I sunk in the ocean of your eyes
