Life is a captive to duty
Bondage to one or more souls
Dear and near love or hate;
Family nation or race…
Born are some to turn captives
To nation’s duty and die;
Sacred and sorrowful are
Soldier’s war widow’s lives…

what makes a man put everything at stake for his country, I have always wondered.you have captured the dillema in a few linesso poignantly Kesav. i really like this poem a lot.10
Poignant - and true Kesav! The brave soldiers are captive to their duty - many die. As their (widows and families) mourn 'their heroes lost' and the price that it cost For freedom - I can understand the soldier, being captive to his duty - and why! Best regards, *10*! ! ! Friend Thad
Aggressiveness as a form of boldness binds one to be captive to duty for the sake of the nation even if he feels remorse to be a soldier. The extreme sacrifices not only he but his family makes in the name of pride and honor go unknown unless in a few rare cases. All that his family receives are some words of comfort and a role of honor at a presentation ceremony. We as sections of large communities rarely realize that it is only because of their exemplary sacrifices that we are able to sleep peacefully and exist as a nation. The entire concept and thinking prowess of your empathetic soul is well portrayed here in your poignant poem.
I REALLY WISH THAT WE COULD DO MORE FOR OUR WAR WIDOWS THAN GIVING LIP SERVICE AND POSTHUMOUS DECORATIONS ON REBUBLIC DAYS! 10! -RAJ NANDY

Even in the bee kingdom, they have queen bee, drone bee, workers bee and so on. Likewise exist in the ant kingdom also. The rights of a territory have to be well protected at any time at any cost. In this order, some die for the cause to make others live to enjoy. There is always a price for buying peace in the world. It can be in cash or kind, like the lives of men who have sacrified their lot in the past, present and it will continue in future also. How many gave their lives in the Kurushetra war, led by Lord Krishna himself on the justice side? This is the order of the Lord, who created this world.
