Solitude, The Loneliest Feeling Poem by Sandra Feldman

Solitude, The Loneliest Feeling

Rating: 4.9

Alone,
The word is like a moan
That chills the Spirit,
Reaching, the very bone.

Alone,
The solitude of sorrow
Blind to all tomorrow,
The fragrance of Life gone
The hope of intertwined hearts
Becomes, the single, lonely Swan
Whose purity and whiteness,
Sadly scans,
The limpid waters,
Lost,
Knowing, lovers hands,
Will not again
Come together,
And be part of Life's
Unforeseen, meaningful plan.

Alone,
One day the Sun
Will cease to shine
And tomorrow will be
An empty shrine,
Where all hopes and loves
Will go to die,
Because there's no one there,
To even say goodbye.

Because there's no one there, To even say goodbye - deeply saddened by this thought. Truest expression of purest feelings! May there be someone to talk to, whisper to, cling to!
