Sorry Sibling Poem by Kim Barney

I was born in a bank - - my mother went there and made a deposit

Sorry Sibling

My brother, who's husky and tall,
makes fun of me 'cause I am small.
By command from above,
he does have my love,
but I can't say I like him at all.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In the 2022 annual contest of the Poetry Society of Indiana, category nine had as its subject: Jesus never said we had to like anybody. The line limit required was exactly five lines. To me there is no better five line poem than a limerick. I have written a few cinquains, but I like limericks better. Anyway, I wrote this poem to fit the category, and it took second place. So I had two second place poems in the 2022 PSI contest, and both of them were limericks! The poem is total fiction, of course. I love both of my brothers, and neither is taller than I am.
