Spending Time Together (Prose) Poem by Heather Burns

Spending Time Together (Prose)

Rating: 4.8

As I sit this morning sip
my coffee, thinking about
a lovely small island nation.

A house perched high on a hill-
top over looking the bay.

Beautiful balconies surrounding
it. Boats emerging in and out of
the harbor. The sun is brightly
shinning. You are there enjoying
the view.

As day is ending this someone
sits looking at the moonlight
enjoying a bit of favorite wine
writing wonderful poetry.

Poetry about a lover just next
door, an arms length away. but
out of touch.

If I had a magic carpet, I would
meet you there in your moonlight
we would laugh, talk about old
times when we were all together

It would be my pleasure friend

Good night

That journey on the magic carpet to meet the poet in the moonlight would be delightful indeed. Beautifully presented in the poem.
