Stance Of Rebellion Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Stance Of Rebellion

This aging being finding joy in measures of rhythms as
they harmonize in photographic memories, relieving the
stress and turmoil left within.

Planting this mind's feet into a stance of rebellion,
not wanting to feel anything but serenity and a quiet
joy that falls deeply inside.

Eclipsing every moment spent in sorrow or sadness, loss
taking a part of life and hanging it upon the walls of
this poetical heart.

Reflecting memories of a lifetime as intellect recaptures
every word, gesture and feeling held within this lonely,
empty heart.

Being forever caressed in grief as loved ones are being
taken away without a word or hug at all, wanting at
least a wink of an eye as they leave our side for heaven.
