Sitting down, old man Brown
was tallest in the pew;
when he did rise, to my surprise,
he was the shortest one in view.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
True story.
In my home town lived a man with short legs and a long torso. In church when sitting down, he was 'taller' than anyone else. But when everybody stood up, all the others were taller than he was.

I enjoyed this one very much. The knowledge that it is a true story adds much flavor into it. I like the picture also!
