A star is as a dream;
It shimmers in the distance,
Longing to be reached.
But what person on Earth,
Can hazard such a journey,
By risking such a trip?
Gravity, like memory,
Holds us all forever firm:
No one can break free.
And were gravity conquered
Still the vastness of space
Bars passage to all.
And so things remain unchanged,
No new dreams are realized,
And no new star explored.
Forever and ever it remains,
There's nothing new under the sun,
And no new sun to be under.
