Starlings Poem by Margaret O Driscoll

Starlings

Rating: 5.0

The miscellany of the murmuration
Can be heard by all around
Starlings swoop down, strutting swiftly
Yellow beaks probing in the ground
Looking through my binoculars
Their flecked feathers I can see
They rise in the air like locusts
To every branch of each tree

Thanks Dan, it certainly is a sight to behold, 'swooping and darting' as you say, they perched on trees nearby yesterday, a miscellany of sound! !
