Sticky Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Sticky

Eventually,
The world swirls round.
You and I,
Stuck together.
Fizzing up and over
All over my shirt.
I am stuck with two choices
Go home and change my shirt,
Or go on like nothings happened.
I don't know about you
But I am not embarrassed,
That's half the fun.
Let the people look and stare.
What's the fun
Of wearing a shirt
If you can't add a little more color,
Even if you seep through?
Your syrupy sweetness
Clings to my skin.
A sweet reminder,
The world swirls around,
Whether I am with you
Or not
