Sudden, Brief And Stunning Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sudden, Brief And Stunning

Sudden, brief and stunning.
Certain moments come.
Appearing from nowhere.
Leaving many emotionally unprepared.
To decide how to react,
Before such acts exposes to show...
The effect of planned distractions,
Can take over and control...
With a purpose to have,
Everyone focused with undivided disbelief!
And done with expertise.

This is what only one,
Has proven with an ability to do and prove.
That those willingly giving up,
Their privacy to feed upon greed.
Can be quickly manipulated.
With a taking away their mentalities.
To do whatever one skilled to deceive,
Chooses to do to satisfy and please...
Regardless who is victimized,
By the abuse inflicted to infest misdeeds.

Nonstopping is the shock.
Sudden, brief and stunning.
Done by one accustomed to being cunning.
Yet...
Closer gets that day to come.
When eventually everyone will know,
Greed to follow has its price to pay.
Leaving those detached,
From the facts of life.
Realizing how distant they have been,
Away to accept anything told to them.
Without concern to later learn,
Truth to know and to live it...
Seldom chooses defeat to greed on deception.

Staying awake and receptive to honesty,
Has yet to blind minds left to leave sickened!
