Sun Has Nothing To Say Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Sun Has Nothing To Say

Rating: 5.0

‘Night' falls during day
the sun has something to say
to the earth, but his pursed lips
by moon fail. It is solar eclipse.

Their body clock upset
birds flock to their nest
animals moo and bray
for night falls during day

Man has mastered the universe
as I want to state in this verse
but falls an umbra and a penumbra
of moon's shadow on earth's grave

All his knowledge is in vain
in waste has gone his brain
if man is still superstitious
says solar eclipse is bad omen.

On Sundays in catechism class
teaches the Book of Genesis,
on other days, Darwin's theory
of evolution in the university.

What do you believe in, Professor
Genesis or genealogy?

The sun has nothing to say.

When you are a loss of words, there is no use looking up at the skies. the Sun has nothing to say…

When I questioned a professor on his teaching Genesis in catechism classes in the church and Charles Darwin's theory of evolution in the University, he talked to me about dialectical materialism. I saw Karl Marx squirming in his grave.

The beauty and wonder a solar eclipse can humble the heart and leave man in awe! .. As nature bows
