Sunk low on horizon
The sun says a sad goodbye
with a vow to return
after a night of stars' glitz and glam
in the middle of darkness
and the moon's walk
across the spacious heart of the sky
Unlike you, the sun returns
day after day
keeping his promise
You say, what can I do
I'm only human.

Hi Nosheen, Another exquisite poem from you after a long time. The Sun God has always been a source of inspiration for man, from time immemorial- the Sun, as you have said, who returns everyday, keeping his promise. Ra the ancient Egyptian God. In Indian myths and old poetry, lotus flower is the lover of Sun God. and she closes her eyes, the moment sun sets, only greet him with a warm smile when he returns. And he always keeps his word! We are only human, and to err (by design) is human; we have 'no need to' keep our words! Great! ++100++
