Golden rust horizon
marks the sinking sun
The mountains are touched
by a crimson shower
of departing glimmer
The fiery glow is dying
in the western sky
to disappear
in the black mystery
of the night.
A beautiful description of the most beautiful sun set ever seen or read, Nosheen. LOVED IT....10+++
Hi Nosheen, I have come across another poem by name Sunset in ph, by Ms Jafarinoor. Totally different from your write, but a should-read. I invite you to read it.
Thanku so much Krishnan for reading n giving very worthy comments. Yea sure i'll read the suggested poem. Would love to. Thanku for recommending me a fellow poet's work.
Hi Nosheen, golden rust horizon marks the sinking sun Fantastic image, bringing out the nature's extravaganza in full. Reminding me of a shloka from Kumaara Sambhavam by the great Kaalidasa: Noonam unnamati yajwanam pati Sharwarasya thamaso nishiddhaye Pundareekamukhi, poorva dingmukham Kaithakairiva rajobhiraavrutham (Original Sanskrit version) Shiv tells Parvathi, I am sure, moon is rising. The eastern horizon looks as if sprayed with the golden dust of Ketaka flower. I have to change 'Kaalidasa' in the ancient Indian saying, Upama Kalidaasasya to 'Nosheen Irfan'.
'Brevity is the soul of wit'................ S..U..C..C..I..N..C..T and S..W..E..E..T! Top marks

Well done. Now I would have added an observer even if the observer was an animal. Something that links sentient life to the beauty you describe.
Yes Barry thats a good idea to give it a human connection.
