The sun shone upon the valley,
What once was shared has gone,
But memories of my childhood,
Forever linger on.

The yellow gorse grows freely,
Upon the mountainside,
Thoughts of you are never far,
You once walked by my side.

The seasons come and go so fast,
It's summer time galore,
Neath the blue sky of the morning,
I think of you once more.

Oh, never will you leave me
For in my heart you'll stay,
For death it does deceive me,
You're with me every day.
